AWESTRUCK AND ADVENTUROUS
Before I ever picked up a paintbrush, I was knee deep in the creeks, woods, and fields of rural western Georgia.
A feral existence suited me just fine and I learned early that Nature wasn't just sacred...she was my best friend. My parents encouraged my creativity from an early age and I'm forever grateful they allowed me to get muddy, build forts, catch critters, find dead things, pick flowers, eat wild berries, and believe that a wild universe was just outside my door. |
PAINT AND I HAVE HAD A THING FOR YEARS
Years of intimate connection with paint creates a unique trust and bond as an artist. Paint is always there for me. It's a willing participant and partner in the act of creation, and has it's own unique voice when telling Nature's story.
Over time and practice, I have found that mystery and magic seem to whisper best in my Watercolors, while the Acrylics really shine with a bold texture and presence. |
FOCUSED SIMPLICITY
When things are simple,
I can focus on what's most important
in my art and daily life.
It's an amazing feeling when my art resonates
and speaks the same language as another wonder seeker.
PAINTING AS LIFESTYLE
I'm an artist by design and it profoundly shapes every single thing in my life. Each day spent in the woods or on the water allows me to continually nurture my mind with images and emotions that keep my creativity alive.
I wake up amazed that I get to interpret the world through this 'crazy-awesome' language of color, value, and shape. |
