WHY ExpressNOW! EXISTS

Do you ever wonder what makes
a painting great?
You know the one... it grabs you, draws you in, and seems to be speaking to you on a deeper level without words?

A great painting will make you ponder things you've not considered before...or for some time. A great painting is expertly painted and stirs your emotions to provide you with an authentic encounter.

I call this engagement is emotive impact. It's the language that painters rely on to communicate their deepest expression to the world, and it has to be learned.
Emotive impact is the soul of a painting,
and it comes from your voice as a painter.
Developing your unique voice as a painter does take time, but it is possible to start zeroing in on the message
you want to express now!

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

You'll learn how to explore what's at the core of your creative heart as an artist and how that affects your imagery.

You'll learn how to partner with your imagery to assign values, colors and content to form a narrative that tells your story.
•
You'll begin to experiment with mark making, texture, and structure in your work to support your narrative.
•
You'll learn how to communicate effectively through simplifying the subject and expanding the emotions, to reveal your unique voice.
•
You'll begin a systematic process that can take months or years off your trajectory as a creative, setting the stage for exponential artistic expression.

HERE'S HOW WE'LL DO IT

The ExpressNOW! Intensive is 4 weeks (5 days a week) of engagement to dive deep into your process, get equipped with new skills so you can produce work at a new level of technical & emotive impact.

Each week, we'll meet as a group online Tuesday-Thursday for LIVE engagement, with 2 remaining days out of the week devoted to expanding the lessons from our LIVE coursework on your own.
•
You'll receive LIVE instruction, demonstration, critique, and Q&A sessions. You'll have access to me throughout our journey together.
•
You'll be working in your preferred painting medium and subject matter while utilizing the techniques and strategies of the course, along with my coaching and feedback.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Students will receive a course workbook, access to all of our LIVE material throughout the 4 weeks, plus an additional 60 days access. Lifetime access is an optional tier of the ExpressNOW! Intensive.

Tuesdays 11am-12pm EST (zoom): Coaching, training and painting explorations and strategy building for the week.
Wednesdays 10am-12pm EST (zoom or Facebook Live): Expression Session! We paint! I'll provide feedback and individual coaching throughout.
Thursdays 11am-12pm EST (zoom): Coaching, critique, discussion, Q&A
time investment on other days of the week will be required for your workbook and painting development.
