I Can Choose
8 x 8 Framed Watercolor with custom red oxide watercolor pigment
The older I get, the more I realize the missed opportunities I’ve had in life were my own fault. No one held me back, except me. Fear, doubt, insecurities, ignorance. They plague all of us, but it’s still my responsibility to press hard against those things so that they don’t shape my life into something that I never wanted; something I never asked for. Every time I face one of these negative challenges in my life, the first sensations I feel are resistance and friction. It’s hard work to overcome the negatives, but my creator uses nature to teach me that everything has a design and purpose, and every purpose will be challenged at some point. I’m continually reassured that the moon, planets, and stars are swirling around as they’re designed to do, and like them, I can expect a specific outcome when I focus on my intended design as well. Knowing my purpose more clearly than ever is instrumental in the way my life is being shaped now. Just ‘hoping’ for the life I wanted, has always produced unintended, and unwanted results. I’m so grateful to finally learn that I can do the work and shape my life very intentionally through choices that are in line with my design. I can choose.
