I've never stopped gazing at the moon. I don't know when I realized it was there, but it's always been with me. I remember thinking the moon was following me when I would see it out the car window, traveling down the road with my parents. I also remember being a little disappointed when I made the realization that I wasn't being followed. But still the connection inspired me and I've never given up on looking for the moon every time the sun goes down. Those innocent thoughts that we have as children are so full of mysterious, trusting hope. I want to always remain connected to the child I was because she's often wiser than I am now.
