Seeing storms with patches of blue sky is a beautiful thing to observe. It's surreal seeing the storm, almost like an actor on a stage, but the blue background gives way to the idea that the storm is temporary, or shouldn't be here...like it'd missed it's cue.
This painting was the turning point in my series on letting things go. I was experiencing that the paintings were allowing me to pour out imagery that coincided with the new paradigms that were forming. Changing the way you think is hard and takes practice. Replacing unhealthy patterns of thinking with good ones takes effort. I knew I was seeing myself change and letting go of limiting beliefs, doubts and fears. It really is a refining process of burning off all that's bad, so that the good rises to the top.
